"Looking in the Mirror"

Vinnie was a lucky girl
She lived without a care
All the boys adored her
For her long red locks of hair

These boys the bought her flowers
And many other gifts each day
But Vinnie never wanted tokens of affection
So she threw them all away

The other girls she knew could never understand
The reason why the boys would swoon
Or become putty in her hands

So Vinnie hatched a plan one day...

The long red locks of hair she said simply have to go
I'll wear no makeup on my face or polish on my toes
She traded in her lovely dress and wore things much more plain

But the boys they still adored her
and chased her through the rain
For Vinnie had what no other did
And this she could not change

Her beauty was deeper than skin could show
It was her personality that boys were really after
This is something all girls should know
